Step 1 — Drop In or Book Ahead
Step 2 — Quote & Approve
Our technician inspects the club, talks you through what's going on, and gives you a price up front. No surprises, no upselling. If a repair isn't worth doing, we'll tell you straight.
Step 3 — Repaired In-House
All work happens in our own workshop, not shipped out. That means same-day turnaround on most jobs, and you can wait in store for grips and quick fixes if you want to.
Step 4 — Back in Play
Job done, club back in the bag, ready for your next round.
Most golfers replace their grips far less often than they should. The result is a slick, hardened surface that forces you to grip tighter, which tightens the forearms, ruins tempo, and quietly leaks distance every time you swing. The general guidance is to regrip every 40 rounds or once a season, whichever comes first. If your grips are shiny, cracked, or you can feel the texture wearing smooth, you're already overdue.
Grips aren't the only thing that drift out of spec. Iron lie angles bend over time through normal use, particularly off mats and harder turf. A lie angle that's even one or two degrees off square sends shots offline before your swing has anything to do with it. Loft creep on wedges is just as common, with bounce and spin both affected. Both are quick, inexpensive fixes that most golfers don't realise are even available.
Shafts loosen, ferrules crack, driver tips take damage you can't always see, and old epoxy gives up. None of it is dramatic on its own, but together it's the difference between equipment that performs the way it was designed to and equipment that's quietly working against you.
That's why we run a full repair workshop in-house at both Corsham and Swindon. Re-gripping, loft and lie adjustments, shaft pulls, club lengthening, club shortening, driver tip replacements, and full re-glues all carried out by experienced technicians, usually the same day. We work on every major brand including Ping, TaylorMade, Callaway, Titleist, Cobra, Mizuno, Srixon, and Wilson. If your clubs need attention, drop them in. We'll give you a straight answer on whether they're worth fixing and what it'll cost.
Do I need to book in for a re-grip?
For one or two clubs, no, just drop in and we'll fit them while you wait. For a full set re-grip we recommend a quick call ahead so we can make sure a technician is free and the right grips are in stock.
How often should I re-grip my clubs?
The general guidance is every 40 rounds or once a season, whichever comes first. If your grips look shiny, feel slick, have visible cracks, or you've started gripping the club tighter than usual to keep it stable, you're already overdue. New grips are one of the cheapest and most underrated performance upgrades in golf.
Do you supply grips or do I bring my own?
Both. We stock a wide range of grips from Golf Pride, Lamkin, SuperStroke, Winn, and the major manufacturer-branded options at both stores. If you'd prefer to bring your own grips, the £3 per club fitting price still applies.
How long does loft and lie adjustment take?
A single club takes a few minutes. A full set of irons usually takes 30 to 45 minutes depending on how far out of spec they are. Most customers wait in store or drop the clubs in and pick them up later the same day.
How do I know if my lie angles need adjusting?
The clearest sign is consistent directional misses, especially with mid and short irons. If you're regularly pulling shots left or pushing them right despite a clean strike, your lie angle is a likely culprit. We can check your lies in store and tell you whether an adjustment is worth doing before you commit to anything.
Can you fix a club from any brand?
Yes. We work on Ping, TaylorMade, Callaway, Titleist, Cobra, Mizuno, Srixon, Wilson, Honma, PXG, and pretty much everything else. If we can't repair something we'll tell you why before charging you.
What's a "shaft pull" and when do I need one?
It's the process of removing a shaft from a clubhead without damaging either piece. Useful when you want to re-use an expensive aftermarket shaft in a new head, when a head needs replacing but the shaft is still good, or when you're swapping shafts between drivers. Done with proper equipment it's a clean, reliable job. Done badly it ruins the shaft, the head, or both, which is why a lot of golfers bring this kind of work to us rather than attempting it themselves.
Can you re-tip a driver?
Yes. We supply branded driver tips for £20, fit them for an extra £5, or handle the full job including removing the damaged tip for £35. If you've cracked a tip mid-round, bring the club in as soon as you can. Continuing to play with a damaged tip can spread the damage further up the shaft.
My clubs are too long / too short for me. Can you fix that?
Yes. We can shorten shafts (£5 per club) or extend them up to 2 inches (£10 per club). Worth pairing with a lie angle check at the same time, since changing club length usually changes the effective lie angle too.
